Happy Monday, happy start of the week!

And of course, I am coming to you with a recipe. That’s my plan – to lure you with some food, hehe. That’s what I did to my husband. I remember baking him a pie or some kind of cake and bringing it to his workplace. But I guess it worked, because it’s 10 years & counting since we are together. (:D )

Ok, back to the recipe. I  promise you, it’s so easy to make, you will ask yourself where have these buns been all your life??

Fluffy yogurt buns.

For 6 of them you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • pinch of sea salt
  • sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Mix flour with salt, sugar and sunflower seeds. Mix yogurt with baking soda and add to the bowl with flour. Combine all ingredients well together. Form buns with oily hands (use sunflower seed oil, or the oil of your preference) and place them on the form (don’t forget the baking paper!). Sprinkle some sesame seeds or pumpkin seeds on the top. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.sw1a4260-2

I always (or most of the time) make some changes to the recipe. Instead of all purpose flour I use spelt flour – and it turns out great! Also, I do not use simple brown sugar, this time I had coconut sugar. Trying to be healthier..kind of. 😀 And I also put all kinds of seeds into  the mix – it can be linseed, pumpkin seed, chia, or whatever you like.

So feel free to adjust it to your liking and give it a go! They are so good as a toast with some jam, or avocado, or cream cheese.. Oh, the options are endless. And let me tell you – they are addictive. You simply can’t eat only one.

I had two of them for breakfast (ok, three, if we count the one I ate while taking pictures…).

Enjoy!

p.s. I found the recipe here.

Yaaas 🙂 and I was thinking – you can do it with lactose-free yogurt, I guess 😉
